Exercise #2: Sample Discussion Questions

It would be helpful to obtain information about (or from) the missionaries your congregation supports and to have it available.

1. What are we doing as a congregation to reach out to people in our community with the message of Jesus?

Exercise #3: A Mission Report

Arrange for a representative from your congregation’s  mission committee to present a 10 minute summary of your congregation’s mission efforts. Ask that they pattern their presentation on these five questions. . .

1. How does this congregation demonstrate that Jesus’ command to evangelize the world is taken seriously?

2. What types of persecution are being faced by missionaries supported by this congregation?

3. What domestic mission efforts are being supported?
